About Ruth Law
Ruth Law is an Australian born artist living and working in Sydney.
She works primarily in ink and gouache, on handmade rice paper,
utilising the texture and fibres in the paper, which creates an added
dimension. She is known for her depiction of Australian flora,
landscapes and still life.
Her work is held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand, USA,
Canada and Europe.
The City of Sydney has 2 of her paintings in the Lady Mayoress’ Collection.
Ruth’s logo
Ruth carved her logo in 1986 under the tutelage of Albert Chu.
It is in 3,000 year old Chinese script, which translates to “Painting from the Heart”.
